This book was very informational because it defined every word that may be unusual for young readers. Real photographs of bakers baking and preparing dough makes the artwork in this book. The content in this book talks about where bakers work, what they wear, what they do, tools that bakers use, the special kinds of cakes and cookies they make on holidays and birthdays, baking school, and who helps bakers. This book also includes a recipe for peanut butter cookies. I think the reading level of this book is first or second grade because the unfamiliar words are defined and none of the words are too challenging or difficult. The curricular connections in this book are: occupations, community helpers, the tasks of bakers, the clothing they wear, the education a baker recieves, and where they work.… (més)
