Kendra Prescott’s life revolves around her work as a buyer for an Atlanta real estate company, and she goes to England to meet with the owner of a picturesque cottage in hopes of making a deal. While at the cottage, she finds an old family portrait of a gorgeous man from the 1800s, and then she takes a tumble down a hill and hits her head. When she wakes up, she finds a man standing over her with a gun in his hand.
Benjamin Sheffield left his home in England and is now fighting in the American Civil War, in 1865. His honor demands he help the strangely dressed woman he found in the mud, but her attitude and sensual appeal tries his manners and patience. Though he doesn’t really believe her outrageous story, he knows he can’t leave a lone woman in the middle of a war zone.
I liked the H/h for the most part. Kendra is a snarky, strong-willed woman but becomes very dependent on Ben. His past haunts him, but he’s still prepared to help Kendra. Their attraction was almost instant, which I liked, but their love bloomed far too fast. The time travel part was never explained, which was disappointing.
Anyway, the story is well written without any typos, and I enjoyed Ms. Fulton’s voice.

I never seem to be disappointed when reading an Entangled title. I am sure you have noticed I review quite a bit of their paranormal and fantasy titles and that I like a majority of them. THE CRYSTAL SLIPPER is another enjoyable read.

Preston's sister is under a curse and to wake her up he has to find a pair of glass slippers and solve a riddle. He has one shoe but he's running out of time when his search takes him to Celinda's doorstep for the other. He doesn't know how Celinda fits into the riddle, but it quickly becomes apparent that she has a big role to play. Preston is not your typical Prince Charming. He IS charming, but is also extremely self-absorbed. He has a lot of work to do to get to the end of THE CRYSTAL SLIPPER.

I was instantly able to connect with Celinda. She starts off being shy and weak, but slowly comes into herself and is able to stick up for herself and assert herself when needed. She comes off as dowdy, and she is, but she can flip a switch pretty easily when or if she wants to. When Preston walks into her library she is instantly attracted to him, but the way he treats her instantly turns her off to him. There is a lot of push and pull to their relationship from both sides but the attraction is always there as their story is told.

I really wanted more out of the ending. I wanted to see where they ended up after the story was said and done, but we just kinda get an end. I just wanted to see more of their story as a couple and I feel like their story was left unfinished, which is disappointing. Still a great read and an interesting spin on the Cinderella storyline.
