What do you do when you are a Christian in Soviet controlled Romania? What do you do when the government has made it clear that any message which might remove the state from the highest position of authority will result in your arrest? What you do is: remain obedient and preach the gospel. This is is exactly what Richard Wurmbrand and his wife Sabina did. The Pastor's Wife is a first hand account of life under communist control and within communist labor camps. The book is filled with details of horrific conditions and treatment as well as Sabina's continued dedication to proclaim her faith in the One True God. In addition to the recounting of specific incidents, Sabina documents a number of truths she learned during these trials. In 1948, when Soviet propaganda was asserting that free Christian worship was being tolerated behind the Iron Curtain, the Communists arrested Pastor Richard Wurmbrand in Romania for secret Christian activities.
The Pastor's Wife is Sabina Wurmbrand's true story of her efforts to get her husband released, her subsequent imprisonment and, above all, her unceasing efforts to help build a Christian Underground Church in restricted areas around the world.
