The Ruth Schwartz Children’s Book Award includes two yearly prizes – one for a children’s picture book and one for a young adult book. Winning books are selected by juries of children from a mostra'n més public school in Ontario. The winning book must have been published in Canada during the previous year and the author must be a Canadian citizen.
