This book is about a young boy who goes to his dads house and his dad has recently moved to a new apartment. Max does not really like his dads new apartment and is a spy with his dad. This book contains a lot of good elements and shows what it is like to have parents who aren't together. I may use this book in my future classroom because this is about a sensitive topic for many student's but it's a topic that may need to be addressed with some students. A lot of positive messages can be brought up when looking at the story of Max and his Dad. Good can come from divorce even if there are challenges and those challenges, as well as feelings people may have when adjusting to new spaces and situations are ok. So many kids have to go through divorce, and a book highlighting not just the negative but the positive aspects of this can help so much for a healing family. There are topics of self-esteem, and adjusting to new circumstances to talk about, along with the love parent's have for their children even if other things may change.
