A young boy gets expelled from school due to some problems, and returns home for the summer. His mother takes him on a trip to the beach when there is a big storm. His friend shows up and says that he is in danger and they need to go to a camp called camp half blood. On the way his friend gets hurt and his mother disappears. During his time at camp he learns that his father is a Greek god and he is suspected to have stolen Zeus’s lightning bolt. He is eventually sent on a quest to help the world and save his mother. With his friend and a girl he met at camp. Where he learns who the real thief was and returns the bolt to Zeus.

A must read for people you enjoy Greek mythology. A well told adventure that deserves the popularity it has. It has wit, action and everything in between. It certainly is an amazing read. ( )
