First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes baby in a baby carriage. Just not necessarily in that order . . . Braxton: I should probably be dead or in jail right now. Instead, thanks to some tough love, I worked my ass off and now I own a string of tattoo parlors throughout the Pacific Northwest. And yet the one thing I've always wanted-a family-still seems out of reach. When my best friend gets married, I'm just hoping to blow off some steam with the super-hot maid of honor. But after Cara Thompson tracks me down to tell me she's pregnant, she's more surprised than I am when I tell her I'm all in. Cara: For the first time in my life, I'm living for myself-not for my parents and their ridiculous expectations. I gave up on my MBA, dropped out of the Ivy League, and moved to Portland to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. And what's the first thing I do? Get knocked up. For a tatted-up sex god, Braxton Henley seems way too eager to "be there for me." Is this guy serious? Maybe. He sure is patient. Because he won't back down until I admit what I know in my heart: that our one-night stand might've led me to the one. Contains mature themes.… (més)

Crazy in Love
Stacey Lynn does it again! I picked this up because I received an arc of 28 Dates and I did not feel like reading book three would be fair to the series without reading book two. I was lucky enough to read Fake Wife which I loved so this was a complete no brainer for me. Stacey Lynn has a relaxed manner of writing that makes her romance reads easy breezy. It does not hurt that her lead couples are always Corky, talented and wickedly charming. If you do not fall in love with Braxton and his dog Lucy you should not touch a romance novel go find something else to read. What do you get when you add a friend’s wedding a handsome man and a hotel room? You get Cara a young woman who goes on a journey to find herself and ends up with a baby on the way with a man she barely knows. Poof. Boom. Baby on the way. Once she accepted her new situation, and it all sunk in, she marched her butt right over to Braxton’s tattoo parlor and laid all her cards on the table. I love that the author makes Cara such a relatable character making the reader go through the emotional roller coaster that is part of pregnancy. It made Cara a confident character showing her that she can handle motherhood. But can she handle a relationship with Braxton?
Having read the first book in this series I loved that I remembered the characters from the previous book. There is lots going on in this book but the author does a beautiful job putting it all together. I was sad when I came to the last 20% of the book because I did not want to see the end of this read. I will say that I am sure that this story has been written in ten different ways by different authors but to me, this was fresh and unique.

New to me author, and this was a very quick read. I love that Braxton was willing to be there for her and take responsibility for his baby, instead of telling her to get lost.

Cara is restarting her life after the loss of her brother, who she feels she must now live the life he would want her to have. She is an inspiring artist who has left her rich background and has now found out she is pregnant from her one-night stand at her best friend’s wedding. She leaves a good part of herself locked away, not wanting to trust but realizes that she has to let people in and allow them to help especially after she is diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidum. Braxton has struggled almost all of his life, it started before he was born due to his mother being addicted to drugs. He struggled through school because of his dyslexia but was lucky enough to have an amazing mentor who gave him everything that he needed to succeed and make something of himself. The only that Braxton has really wanted was a family of his own, so he knows that in order to keep this chance he has to do everything possible to make Cara feel welcomed and cared for in his own way. Unfortunately, he is not exactly quite sure how to accomplish this as he can’t seem to figure out what it is that Cara truly wants from him.

The main focus is the building of the relationship and trust between Cara and Braxton. They know they have a physical attraction but realize that they also need to be honest and on a more deeper level. You are able to connect with characters as well as their struggles, the writing allows you to see the story come to life inside of your mind. It is a perfectly balanced story that has you feeling a wide range of emotions when it comes to the characters. The story is evenly paced for the most part, until the end when it feels super rushed and leaves you wondering umm, how did we get here so quick. This story is written in the first person, with alternating point of views between Cara and Braxton.

Yes, I would recommend. This story is a collection of emotions that have you wondering what is going to happen next. It leaves you with a sense of family and wanting to experience it. This story would be perfect for those who are looking for a cute and real-life like a situational story. It would also be good for anyone who wants to believe that love can come from anywhere with anyone. ( )

A super cute book, that shows opposites, clearly are attracted to each other. After their mutual best friends wedding, these two have a one-night stand with the promise of more. Life happens and it doesn't work out. Fast forward six weeks, and you guess it, she's "knocked up" This book really takes the if life gives you lemons approach, and it was light hearted, but not so light hearted that the author tried to brush off the severity of the consequences. Told in dual pov, this is a great book to read if you don't have to be bogged down with something heavy. ( )

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn is the second book in her Crazy Love series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. The death of Cara Thompson’s twin brother had made her realize that she needs to live life on her own terms and if that means being an artist rather than the lawyer her parents expect her be then that is what she should do. Braxton Henley a boy from the wrong side of the tracks is now a successful business owner of MadInks Tattoos and when these two meet as members of their best friends wedding party a whole lot of steam happens. Going from strangers to parents in the blink of an eye is not with out its struggles but they do have the intense physical attraction that brought them together in the first place going for them and what started out as a one night stand just might be forever. Super Steamy. Publishing Date June 12, 2018
