This is not just any book, it is a math alphabet book ! It introduces and reinforces math vocabulary, and explains how certain terms relate to math. It also teaches about the history of math. ( )

This book is more about learning different mathematical terms from each letter of the alphabet. Not only terms are in the book, but different math symbols. These symbols and terms are explained and their relation to mathematics. I wouldn't necessarily read this book as a read aloud as a whole, but read it one alphabet at a time. The book is chronologically written alphabetically and that is why I would read it to introduce a unit one by one. It is more for vocabulary usage which is great because vocabulary content is content knowledge! ( )

This alphabet book is not for the young. It’s probably for about 3-5th grade. Each letter is a math concept with a long but understandable explanation of what that concept or person was. It was an interesting read if you are interested in math. ( )

This book has a math related term or symbol to go along with each letter of the alphabet. They explain what the term is and how it relates to math. The book also uses a lot of kid friendly pictures and references. I think children would enjoy this book and the teacher could even break the book up into letters or by the math term. They could just read the letter that relates to their topic for the week. ( )

The book was interesting because it had different math terms and also taught about math history but it did not have anything useful. There was no counting, adding, subtracting, or multiplying. The book was also very wordy and lost my attention at times. I think it has a lot of information about math but nothing to really teach a child how to do the math. ( )
