I won this book and I think I entered because he was from Milwaukee. This was the oddest book I have ever read and have no idea what point he was trying to make. Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . The author used jargon to impress but that fell flat. The book was almost unreadable and very disconnected. The author mentioned another book that he was writing so much that this book would better be described as a prequel to it. The entries at the back of the book were difficult to read as the text was so small but were more cohesive. To be honest, I was expecting a very different book than what was written and it was more of an egotistical vanity piece. This is not a book that I would recommend. Others may find it more interesting. I received this book from LibraryThing Early Reviewers. Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . This may possibly be the strangest book I've ever read. It's an autobiography that is meant to serve as background and support for a novella the author apparently has out. It touches on the author's view about religion, leadership, sex, suicide and various other subjects, but doesn't really go into depth about any of them. I guess the author wanted to stimulate interest in his other book by writing this one as sort of a tease? It's fairly short: 45 pages of printed material followed by 60 page of photocopied pages from the author's handwritten journals. The journal entries are numbered and serve as end notes to the printed material, although in many cases the printed material is word for word the same as the handwritten journal entries. There are also small pictures of the author at various stages of his life contained in the printed 45 pages, so this can be a very quick read of one does not constantly refer back to the end notes when reading it as I did. In fact, I'd recommend just reading the printed material straight through and then reading the end notes after that, Full disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in a LibraryThing giveaway in exchange for an honest review. Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . This book is hard to review because as a stand-alone volume it is incoherent and disjointed. It isn't really a book and it isn't really written. This volume is more like a diary. He indicates this information is what he's using to support another book he is writing. The notes reflect things that happened in his life and his views on religion, sex and pretty much everything else. The first part of the volume is typed; the second part shows the hand-written journal entries the typed ones were derived from.
I did not enjoy the content of this volume, but others might. The writer is a strong believer in Jesus and God and much revolves around his beliefs and how he is living his life to support Jesus. If you like to figure out what makes people tick, this might be a good volume for you also. There are lots of things that can be surmised about the author based on what is written and many questions that go unanswered.
I really wouldn't recommend this volume to anyone who isn't interested in the background of the author. I can see this content is intensely valuable to him but doesn't mean much to me as a reader. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

"Dear Self, I would so much like to write a letter, but to whom? So I guess I will write to you. How are you doing? No, really, I want to know..." But then one forgets the other principle, that it must be lived forward. I'm giving this book 2 stars because, despite the rambling savior complex throughout, it IS, from what I can tell, a good summary of this man. The book loses 3 stars, though, because of the fact that it has no chronological order (he jumps around dates so much that I have NO idea what's when and when's what - a timeline may have helped with this) and because the entire time I felt like I was confused and worried for the man.
