the signmaker made the most beautiful signs and one day Norman decided to take the sign makers brushes and he made signs. the people had to obey the signs. so norman made the silliest signs that messed up the the whole town. finally the signmaker came back and saw the whole town messed up. the signmaker made him fix all his mistakes and say sorry.

This is a cute, funny book about a little boy who assists the town's signmaker. In this town signs are very important, so the boy decides to make some of his own. The first one he makes says, 'No School Today.' Since signs are so important in this town, everyone really believes that there is no school. Since this sign was such a success, he makes many more signs, which eventually leads to troulbe.
