Spoon's always been a happy little utensil. But lately, he feels like life as a spoon just isn't cutting it. He thinks Fork, Knife, and The Chopsticks all have it so much better than him. But do they? And what do they think about Spoon?

From Librarything Reviews:

I love this book because it talks about differences yet it also talks about it being okay to be different. I also love that they talk about what each utensil is used for. I think this is a great way to teach children how to them

Spoon is feeling sad because he can't do all of the cool and exotic things that Knife, Fork, and Chopsticks can do. What Spoon doesn't realize is all of the amazing things that he can do! Spoon finally realizes that he is lucky and grateful for being just the way he is. The humorous illustrations in this story makes this a great read aloud to remind us to celebrate what makes each of us special.

Ok, so it's an old message, been done almost to death.  But the details!  I read this in the library and burst out laughing at the chopsticks being cool and exotic" doing the tango.  The 'Chinese' chopsticks, doing the 'Brazilian' tango, you see.  And of course it's all about finding your particular strengths, not getting uptight about your particular weaknesses... and what can Spoon do best?  "Spoon" (cuddle with mom and dad Spoon), of course!"
