Can be challenging to read as not all the shapes have a predictable way to read the poem. However, the ones I can read easily are quite clever.

Raschka's quirky art style, familiar from The Hello Goodbye Window etc., accompanies concrete poems. Very useful for introducing this concept to e.g. grades 2-3, and might even get some checkouts if it wasn't hidden away in the 800s. ( )

As I was looking up authors of concrete poems, I came across this book that had great reviews on Amazon. There are 30 poems featured by a variety of authors. I have ordered this book to share with students. I think that these concrete poems would encourage wonderful conversations with students.

This book was fascinating to me. It had different styles of poetry through out the book. The illustrations were also super bright and abstract. ( )
