Cool Collectible Stamps is an informational book about stamps and collecting them. The main idea is to teach children the basics about stamps and about starting a collection. I really enjoyed this book. One thing I really enjoyed about this book was the subject. My dad has worked for the post office for my entire life so I have grown up knowing a lot more about the post office and stamps than a lot of other people. I love seeing and learning about new stamps. I also really like that this book includes information not only on the basics of stamps but also on starting a collection. A second thing that I really liked about this book was that it provided photographs. There were also illustrations of various stamps, but I really enjoyed the photographs. There were photographs sprinkled throughout the book. For example, on the first page there was a photograph of an uncut sheet of stamps and on the twenty-forth page there was a photograph of a stamp collector using a special tool to handle his stamps. I think that the photographs really helped to clarify the information.… (més)
