Love Is de Diane Adams
Adams sweetly describes all the ways love translates into care for others through the lens of a little girl raising a duckling. A tender way for children to peek into the experience of parents and adult caregivers. Keane's illustrations are clean and fresh and feel straight out of a mid-century animated Disney film (in the best way).
I want to add this book to my collection. Enough said.
It captures life so well. Falling in love with something (as this little girl does with a duckling) and showering it with all the love in the world. But then knowing that there comes a time when you have to let go.....but maybe, just maybe, that love will return to you.
I think parents might enjoy this more than the children. But that's alright. However, the cuteness of both the little girl AND the duck just might win people over as well.… (més)

This was ADORABLE. And the illustrations are just fantastic!
Absolutely beautiful illustrations and full of feeling. A little sad, a lot sweet.
