Two children who sound very young make a "grand expedition" out of pitching a tent in the yard, sitting in it, eating snacks and reading a nature book, until the mosquitoes find them. If even the older one is really reading a book, these children sound severely deficient in Vitamin N, but if she's the sort of four-year-old who says "reading' when she's looking at pictures this story is plausible.

Some people will like this book because the children are, as a matter of course, at home with Daddy, and it's not an emergency that Mommy is nowhere in sight.

Some people won't like this book because the narrator specifies what people are doing in the bathroom. I'm afraid I'm one of those people. Children need to know what toilets are for, but by age four they should know how not to talk about that.
