Austin Rogers

One of the things I enjoy about the scifi and fantasy genres is that the books are usually longer and more involving than most. This is certainly true of Austin Roger's second entry in his Dominion series, "Horns of the Ram." Once again, he's provided a beautiful cover that just beckons you to read the story inside. And once you start, you won't be disappointed. Continuing on from the events in "The Sacred Planet," we are once again united with characters from that story, along with some new faces. I can honestly say that, even though these books are long, complex and involving, I had no trouble quickly falling into the story and picking up where we left off. Not often does a book and its characters stay with me very long after the last page is turned, but for some reason, this one was on my mind for months afterwards. I think it's a combination of fantastic storytelling, a compelling plot and wonderful characters, situations and settings. I can't wait for the next entry in this absorbing and unique series.
