I bought this cookbook in a post-Moroccan-holiday cooking frenzy. Basan captures the flavors of traditional Moroccan food to perfection and her recipes all work. This book is a bit more ambitions than her earlier book, Modern Moroccan and I'll admit that there are some recipes I might not attempt. The salad recipes are especially lovely and I've been progressively making one after another, each more gorgeous than the last. I will admit that I am completely smitten with Moroccan cuisine for its fascinating flavors, beautiful presentation and fresh ingredients, but I think this is a cookbook that anyone can love.… (més)

A brilliant introduction to Moroccan cooking. A selection of tagine, couscous and salads to entice the most jaded palate.This book is beautifully illustrated - the photos make one's mouth salivate. Ingredients are all readily available (at least in Melbourne) and the recipies are easily followed. highly recommended.
