The premise of the story is good. A second chance romance. The hero, Gio breaks things from with her, making her wrongly believe he doesn't love her, and now he wants her back.
His reasons for the breakup are genuine and it's fair enough he wants to try again. He is arrogant and cocky and it works. He is all Alpha and forces himself back in to her life.
Her response for not wanting to try again and her reasons are also reasonable.
The issue I think lies in that the story starts some time after the breakup with him seeing her again. I was a bit confused as to what was going on, the story seemed a bit choppy.

I understand this is a dark romance but I didn't like it.
The heroine gets kidnapped and is raped and when she is rescued later she doesn't remember so that's sorted. The hero is a powerful man but totally besotted with his wife which is refreshing but the memory loss just felt like an easy way out of a horrible traumatic situation so they could have their HEA.

Heart wrenching and profound. As crazy as "Saint" was the devotion that he showed his love was beautiful. He wasn't crazy per se as much as a product of his lifestyle.
This book was a pleasant surprise.

This story, being written in diary from was unexpected, there is a lot packed here. I would have ranked higher if there has been really face to face interaction A pleasant Surprise
One thing that can always be said about this author is that she is always reinventing herself. Regardless of what subgenre that she writes, she always crafts a story that is unique and strangely all her own. Her ability to create characters and stories that are sure to have a different element that is not often written about is astounding.
This was a quick read. Very different than what I am used to from this author but still a nice read. It has a little bit of everything; humor, steam, and interesting characters. The ending was different than I was expecting and I wish that the story was longer (this is nothing new since I always want more words from this author). I hope that she maybe someday revisits this novella and expands on it.… (més)
