Connie Bickman

Photojournalist Connie Bickman began her world travels in 1989, partly because she wanted to chronicle the world for her grandchildren. Her treks took her up the Amazon, to Mount Ararat in Turkey, the islands of Panama, into caves and monasteries. Along the way, she made stunning photographs. When mostra'n més she returned, she shared her travels through lectures and slide presentations and eventually compiled this book. She is occasionally asked to travel by groups, using her camera to document the world and women's needs. Her work has won awards and has been displayed in galleries and museums.
