Biografia breu
An Oregon native, Lori Borrill moved to the San Francisco Bay Area just out of high school and has been a transplant Californian ever since. Her weekdays are spent at the insurance company where's she's been employed as a data analyst for over twenty years. The bulk of her evenings are spent at the Little League fields cheering on her son.

Lori started writing in June of 2004 after her husband left his job to pursue his dream of owning a business. Not only did the move help ease their hectic schedules, but he became a solid example that those dreams that seem impossible can often come true. She proved that point herself exactly two years later when Kathryn Lye called to tell her she'd sold to the Harlequin Blaze line.

Lori claims it was the eHarlequin.com community that prompted her to write her first novel. "After reading countless romances, I saw the Web address on a book and decided to check it out," she says. "At the time, I was just looking for writer's guidelines, but the moment I clicked into the Learn To Write forum, I was amazed by the volume of information available to aspiring writers. They really came across like they wanted me to try this." Since then, she's been an active member of the eHarlequin.com community, finding all of her closest writing friends through the site. "What propelled me from novice to published author were the people I've met through the Harlequin boards," she says. "I've made some treasured friendships with talented authors who not only helped me hone the craft, but have become a system of support I can't imagine writing without."

I did enjoy this story of two people who discover that some of their assumptions of the randomness of meeting someone online and having cybersex may not be as random as they might like.

Logan Moore was married before, his wife was more interested in his business than in him, actually viewing him as a stepping stone to the top. Now he finds it hard to trust anyone, particularly anyone at work. He fancies Trisha but doesn't want to admit to it, she works with him, it could be a disaster. However his online romance with Scorpio63 is flourishing.

Trisha is on the same site with Pisces47, she's trying to avoid getting involved with her boss, the cybersex is wonderful but it lacks a certain something.

I enjoyed the read, fun and light, the characters do have issues and problems and they're not glanced off. I'd read more by this author.

I have had a kindle for about seven months now and I absolutely love it. Its light and easy to read and I can take it every where instead of caring six plus books around with me at all times. Plus I can also have it on my phone and computer without having to buy them over and over again. It gets better though…well at least for me. I couldn’t sleep last night and my house is full of light sleepers. So that means no tv and nothing bright. So great thing I have a dimmer on my computer. I wasn’t sure what to read, I just knew I wanted it to be cheap and short. All the normal genres I read from had nothing good cheap. So I was bummed, but then I was like lets check out the romance section. I’m usually totally against it because the covers are very odd. ( I know I don’t seem like to judge a book by its cover, but I do.) Since I couldn’t sleep though I figured, why not. I am so glad I did. The book was cheap and so freaking good. The idea has been done before, but Lori Borrill ( which is an awesome name) made it fresh and new. It was basically “You Got Mail,” just a whole lot more modern and well a hell of a lot sexier. In case if anyone doesn’t know of Lori Borrill, the book I just read was called Private Connections. Just sounds sexy doesn’t it? That’s because it was, along with being really cute, but still real. The characters relationships were somewhat similar in “You Got Mail,” this time instead of being competitors they were co-workers. The man, Logan Moore the head of an ad agency, who once before had gotten it stolen from him from a smart beautiful women and didn’t want to make the mistake again. While our leading lady, Trisha Bains a carbon copy of the women who ruined his life. What he doesn’t know though is that she is nothing like his ex, she actually is everything he wanted. He just hasn’t noticed yet because he only lets his feelings out to a cyber friend. Trisha Bains also has a cyber friend in order to get over Logan. To bad for them how they all are connected.

Logan Moore is a successful advertising executive, but he's extremely wary of dating anyone in the business since his ex-wife married him solely for the purposes of advancing her career. So Logan does his best to keep his interest in the rising star of the office, Trisha, purely professional - except when he's at home chatting with Scorpio online...

Trisha Bain has been fantasizing about her boss Logan for ages now, and recently she's been living out those intense sexual fantasies online through an astrology-based chat service. As her friends encourage her to drop the chats with Pisces and actually ask Logan out, Trisha finds clues that her online sex-buddy may actually be Logan himself.

I enjoyed this one a lot. The plot itself with perceived betrayals and the unfortunate similarities between Trisha and Logan's ex-wife are interesting, and the astrological signs the author picked seemed to fit well with the personalities. There was even a strong subplot with Trisha's best friend. But you all know that wasn't the good part about this.

The chats could easily have come across as sordid or lame, but Borrill avoided that nicely, and all of the sensual scenes from the book certainly sizzled for me. And for a Blaze that's really what counts. A winner for me!

Co-workers discover that they've been "chatting" with each other online. Unfortunately, while the plot sounds good, it's a forgettable story.
