Sally Breen

I believe Sally Breen captured the essence of growing up in South East Queensland in the 1980's and 1990's very well, there were many times I thought "yes thats just what it was like". As a teenager I don't think I would have liked her she would have fallen into the category of "pretty and she knows it". I think you need to have a certain level of narcissism to write this type of book, it is not a memoir of someone that has done some amazing things or been through any hardship that most of don't experience and for that reason alone these types of books don't usually appeal to me. Having said all that the landscape, feelings of the era and general pop culture were a nice trip down memory lane.… (més)
