Hands down the best rom/suspense I've read so far in 2013. This book is full of so many evil characters and you never know which ones have crossed that line from just being evil to being murderers. You actually feel the creepiness from the characters as your reading. I can tell you I will not be visiting Dark Water ever!!. Lovers of a really good suspense book with a great romance also in the middle of complete insanity this is the book for you.

I absolutely loved the last book from this author, Blood and Bone. So I thought I would read an earlier book from her. This book suffered from to many POV's, from introducing a paranormal aspect in the prologue and a few times in the middle of the book but then just dropping it and never mentioning it again and the "reveling" was not only anti climatic it didnt make a whole lot of sense.
That said it was still a good story about the murder of a young woman 12 years ago. Her murder completely destroyed her family. The father couldn't get over her death and withered away waiting for her to return until he had a heart attack and dies and the mother became an alcoholic. The main couple in the book is the youngest sister Haley and the ex boyfriend of the murdered sister Dean Lawson. Haley not only took over running her father's store but had basically been her mothers caregiver when her older sister left and her brother had his own family to take care of. Dean had been the prime suspect in the death of Michelle but the police never had enough evidence to arrest him. After Michelle's body is finally found 12 years later he comes back to town to not only prove his innocent but to find the actual killer.
