This is a short book, and the the reading difficulty makes it good for young readers. However, because of the ending, I wouldn't recommend this book to any children.

The beginning of the book was great, but as it progressed, it got rapidly worse. All of the plot and character development was wasted in a believable, but overly simplistic finish. To me, one of the biggest disappointments of the book was that most of it centered on the characters and their day-to-day life, while avoiding any descriptive mention of their geographic locations.

If rewritten, this book has great potential, but as it is, is merely mediocre. Had the author taken more time and developed the story further, he could have started a series that would not only have appealed to young and old readers, but also have educated readers about more of the west.… (més)
