He’s a broken man and she’s just flat broke. They meet one another when they’re both at their lowest, and together they are given a second chance.

Since I’ve read so many books in the Connor Brothers series so far I know Quinn and Hailey’s story well, so as I was reading this novel I felt deja vu, like I had already read it before. I never realized just how invested I was in this series until I went back to the beginning.

I loved all the scenes with the Connor family. The closeness they share always gives me the warm fuzzies and the support they give one another is inspiring, and how every family should be. Seeing Quinn and Hailey together feels so incredibly natural, though I would’ve liked a little less predictability. The story went exactly where I thought it would go, and a little extra surprise would’ve been nice. I

Finding You sets up this series perfectly and since I’ve ready this series all out of order I suggest going in order, even though you can read them all as standalones.

This series is always so much fun to read and The Grinch and the Fruitcake is no exception. This story features two of the goofiest and most fun characters in the series, Oliver Twist and Breezie Malone. The pair seems to be practically perfect for one another in every way but one: Christmas. Oliver is head over heels gaga over all things Christmas and Breezie sees herself closer to the Grinch. Oliver’s goal is to bring his girl onto his side of thinking and show her the magic of Christmas one glimmering tradition at a time.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas but even I do not go as hard as Oliver! This man is like the energizer bunny that is full of Christmas cheer and strives for perfection in everything he does. I can see why Breezie feels like she can’t measure up to his unrealistic expectations, but I love seeing how his positivity and focus helps elevate her character while she brings Oliver down to more realistic expectations. It’s not about what gets done but who does the doing with you that matters.

Like the rest in the Too Busy for Love series, The Grinch and the Fruitcake has several moments that are tongue in cheek, as well as a few moments that had me giggling. Though there are amusing moments there are also moments with real heart, and I loved seeing the tenderness balanced with the laughter.

This series continues to get better and better, and this is truly the perfect holiday read. It gets you into the spirit of the season while also not taking a lot of time out of your busy holiday season. The characters are lovable, the setting bright and cheery, and the story full of heart and amusement. What more could you want?

The Too Busy for Love series has been such a fun series to read, and I have been impatiently waiting to read the next installment that features my favorite character of the series thus far, Maggie. Let me tell you, Crushing on the Boss did not disappoint and quickly became my favorite in the series thus far.

Maggie’s story was everything I thought it would be and more. She is such a refreshing character, so fashionable, beautiful and smart with a good, confident head on her shoulders and I love to see it! I was curious to meet the man that would elevate Maggie and be a good partner, and Ethan is absolutely perfect! Ethan and Maggie are old crushes that end up reconnecting when Ethan becomes Maggie’s boss. The flames haven’t distinguished over the years, but dating the boss is the least of their worries as they work together on a huge project that threatens to take an entire company down with it.

I lived for the tension that built between Ethan and Maggie as the story progressed, and loved every scene they shared together. Honestly, the entire cast of characters are wonderful, with the exception of a few bad apples that I loved to hate. There were moments that I giggled, and I caught myself grinning almost the entire time I read, which is exactly what you want in a rom-com. There were also moments of sheer frustration as they fight against the clock to get the project finished, and so much gets in their way that I really began to wonder about the ending. Luckily, the novel ended on a happy note and quicker than I wanted it to! There is a sixth book already in the works, so I am back to impatiently waiting.

This series gets better and better as does Leah’s writing. The imagery puts you there in the office and at the building with the characters, with people that you can’t help but fall in love with and root for. It’s the best kind of romance and one that I highly recommend.

There really is a fine line between love and hate, especially when that line isn’t really a line at all, and the only one you’re fooling is yourself.

I love a good fake dating scenario, and one of my favorite troupes is friends to lovers, so I got everything I enjoy in one enjoyable romcom. Libby and Brent have great chemistry and the “fake dating” was really only them trying to fake themselves out, and not admit their true feelings to one another. It’s obvious they both caught feelings in high school but both are too stubborn to admit it, but witnessing the lengths that they’ll go to keep up the ruse is quite enjoyable.

The chemistry between Brent and Libby is positively electric without too many real sparks flying. Their bond is as natural as breathing and I loved seeing their interactions so much, both when they are “enemies” and throughout their “fake” dating.

Compared to the other novels in this series there weren’t any real LOL moments but it was still cute in and of itself. There are a few unfortunate events that are entertaining but I had hoped to have a good chuckle moment. I did love seeing Griff again, as I enjoy his character so much, and I cannot wait to see Maggie, Libby’s spicy roommate get her own story next! She was hands down my favorite character and I can’t wait to see her in the spotlight!

This series is seriously so much fun! Each book is such a great escape and always puts a smile on my face.
