Mimi Chapra

This book was such a cute little book. I really enjoyed this book. There are many reasons I liked this book.The characters in this book were very believable. They expressed real feelings that real children that age can relate to which would definitely catch a young readers attention. The plot was a very sweet plot. It was about a young girl who visits family in America and everything is different and she feels like she doesn't bling. but in the end she embraces the language and turns out loving it. It was definitely organized and had some internal and external conflict, between Lucy and herself and Lucy and just a new environment. The big idea of this book was that often times we feel distant from others or different and as if we don't belong but if we just give it a chance often times that is not the case and we just need time to grow accustomed to the new thing. I think this would be a great book for any transfer students or international students coming to a new country, or school.… (més)
