I fully intended to make something spicy when I checked out this cookbook from the library, but in the end, I didn't. Some of the recipes looked okay but some of them, after thinking about it, were just not that appealing. I may someday get out the sriracha (love that stuff!) and try something in here, but not at the moment.

love Sriracha, I use it like most people use ketchup. I have it everyday on something. When I saw there was a Sriracha Cookbook for veggie lovers I preordered it right away. I opened my book and was disappointed by how small it was. How could a flavor as useable as this have such a small book ? I opened it to find beautiful pictures of mouthwatering dishes, each giving my taste buds a little happy dance about what was to come. First recipe I had to try, Hollandaise with Sriracha for my veggie Benedict. Holy spicy loving momma that was so good ! But it didn't make enough double or triple that recipe. I have made most of the recipes in the book the above is by far my favorite. Most are adaptations of recipes common to most with just some added Sriracha, not very original for the long time user of this product. I am glad i bought it, the pictures are inspirational and mouth watering. I think this is a perfect book for somebody who wants t learn how to add this flavor into their dishes.… (més)

Disappointingly unoriginal. I was hoping for more information and something a little more interesting then just "add sriracha to these common dishes".

The book is broken into five parts: one, a history of Stone, as retold by people who were there; two, a detailed description of the elements of beer, including malt, hops, and yeast; three, a set of recipes from their brewpub/bistro; four, a description of every beer they've ever released, including one-off brews; and five, a set of detailed recipes and instructions for brewing several of their beers at home.

The first part was entertaining and fascinating, the food recipes look great, and the beer recipes are a ballsy move and would probably be pure gold for me if I was a home brewer. The beer descriptions section got pretty repetitive after a while - after the eighth or tenth "and for THIS year, we made it even hoppier and stronger!" they started to run together for me.

All in all, a fun book, though. Would read again - at least the recipes!
