Gigi finally makes her move! And Jess continues to be awesome. I have to admit, when the adults show up, they feel so superfluous, and I honestly don't remember half the events they're referring to. This series had a little too much extra stuff packed in around the edges, and it ultimately made the pacing a little weird. Still, we got a satisfying ending, and I'd love to see more of this team!

I'm glad to see Gigi and the team reunited again! I feel like she still must have some important role to play. I like the big fight with the wristbands, and Jess saving the day. Jess is great, and so is Raven although I always feel like I'm missing some context with him... Fun to see the Lasso of Truth put to good use!

Some plot definitely happens in this issue! We get some development on what Raven's whole deal is, a daring rescue, and an ending that raises some new questions. I guess we get some references to the Justice Guild B-plot too, but those aren't really that interesting. But the highlight of the issue might be the hilarious sequence of Jess / Kid Quick ducking into every room in the Church of Blood.

This just kind of felt like the middle of a story. Not much happens, we just move the group from one place to another, presumably setting up for some actual plot to happen in the next issue. Even the ending features the same set of villains as the previous issue!
