Reed Farrel Coleman is the author of Robert B. Parker's Jesse Stone series, the Moe Prager series, short stories, and poetry. He is a three-time Edgar Award nominee in three different categories - Best Novel, Best Paperback Original, Best Short Story - and a three-time recipient of the Shamus Award mostra'n més for Best Detective Novel of the Year. He has also won the Audie, Macavity, Barry, and Anthony Awards. He is an adjunct instructor of English at Hofstra University and a founding member of MWA University. Robert B. Parker's The Bitterest Pill de Reed Farrel Coleman

This novel is readable but seems simplistic after reading Child and Carr. There is no great mystery about who the bad guy is, it is just a matter of letting the good guys stop the bad guys by the end of the book. In other words, these books are strictly character driven.

The James Deans : a Moe Prager mystery de Reed Farrel Coleman

Enjoyed this a lot. Some characterization, but not so much that it overshadows the story. Plot fairly standard but well executed. The feel of the settings add to the whole thing for a nice sort of noir lite. Will try more

Where it hurts de Reed Farrel Coleman

I enjoyed this noirish mystery. The protagonist felt a bit sorry for himself, but that is part of the genre . I felt Long Island itself needed more character, but the plot was good, and the resolution satisfying
