My Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review, please be responsible)

Come With Me is the prequel to the Sugarland Creek saga and I was so interested when I saw this book being recommended. I am glad that I started with this one, because it really sets up the rest of the series so nicely. I was a bit apprehensive with the biggest trope of this book being a secret baby, but I have to tell you I was beyond impressed with this one. I had such a blast with it and I can't believe I am saying that for a secret baby romance but I had a great time with this one. I can tell you I definitely will be reading more from this author if any of her books are like this one here.

What impressed me immediately is how drawn in I became to the story very quickly. I just wanted so much for these characters to find their HEA and the circumstances behind the secret baby is very VALID. For those that are concerned, its worth reading. I normally hate reading secret baby because of how toxic the heroines come off being, but in this situation the heroine did everything RIGHT. I also liked the more stronger western themes in this one here. If you want a really authentic feeling western romance, then you need to grab this one up because it definitely had strong authentic vibes attached to it. I really felt for our characters because of what kept them apart, but when we see how strong they are together, I was all for it 100%. It does have some good spice. That doesn't matter to me in a romance, but I know for some readers you really need the spice moments.

Overall I fell hard for Come With Me and eager to see what this author does for this series and this family!

3.5 stars:

I am not happy that this was my least favorite in this trilogy. I was introduced to Brooke Cumberland with the first book in this trilogy, and I was hooked! I love Brooke! She is a wonderful author! This book, however, didn't do much for me.
I don't know why, but this book almost felt forced. It lingered too much into Molly's pregnancy. I feel there should have been less on her hormones and pregnancy in the beginning. Reading sooo much about her bed rest and restlessness was a bit daunting and hard to get through.
Now once the good drama started, then I was all in. That was the saving grace for this book! I was hooked and wanted more of the drama. This should have been the focus for the majority of this story! My rating would have been much higher if it had!
There is no denying the characters in this story. We love Drake. We Love Molly. We love Michael. We don't like Denny. Yes. There always has to be an antagonist in a story like this... there is one in each book in this trilogy.
I am happy and sad to see this story end. It was a great ending to the story. The series, as a whole, is a must read! I will not deny that

After the way Spark ended, I am not sure what to expect with this book. I was not disappointed, well a little. There were things I wanted to happen, which did, just not in the intensity I was hoping for. I will not embellish on that because I will spoil it for you… Let’s just say, you will know what I am talking about when you read this.
So, there wasn’t as much drama as the first book. Now, that isn’t always a bad thing. I will admit, I was looking for some, but not having it was okay. This book is more about the struggle within Velaney to take what is hers and move on from her past… Only her past is haunting her more now than ever. It is causing more heart ache than ever in areas of her life that she never thought could happen. Secrets that she could never imagine come to light. She is forced to make some really hard decisions. Some I agreed with. Some not so much. Her past is controlling her future. That’s always a no-no. She is having a hard time coming to grips that not everything bad is all her fault.
Eric, he is determined to help Velaney heal. Only she won’t allow it. She pushes him away and secludes herself. He won’t give up. Which we all applaud. His heart and love is on the line. He just needs Velaney to trust that he loves her unconditionally and that he will stop at nothing to protect her and love her. He is struggling with the unknown.
In this book, I was pretty disappointed with Velaney’s character in more than one part. I will say, she vindicated herself. She held her head high when it came to counting. Her love for Eric is never ending, even if she decides to end their relationship. Their hearts are one in this story. It’s just the matter of them finally trusting one another and being willing to lean on the other in the times of need.
