Glenn Daman is the pastor of River Christian Church in Stevenson, Washington where he has served since 1991. He's the author of Leading the Small Church, Shepherding the Small Church (ECPA Gold Medallion Finalist), Developing Leaders for the Small Church, and When Shepherds Weep. He grew up on a mostra'n més farm in northern Idaho and attended Big Sky Bible College, Western Seminary, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. The wise church leader needs to carefully consider the unique values, beliefs, customs, traditions, and attitudes of the congregation. Perhaps the single most important distinctive of the small church is that it is relationally rather than program driven.
