Ōtari : two hundred years of Ōtari–Wilton's Bush de Bee Dawson
A conservation-organisation history done right; it goers back 200 years to the Māori history of the site, and gives a good biography of each of the heads of ŌTari, from Cockayne to Brockie to Mole. Luckily Brockie's son Bob is still alive and was able to contribute memories as well as sketches and watercolours. Chris Coad's photos throughout are superb, and Dawson meticulously covers things like the building and relocation of bridges andf rock gardens, as well as tabulating all the different names Ōtari has gone by over the years—a Wikipedian's dream.… (més)
