Post-apocalyptic role-playing; the characters have all been selected by Edward Morrow to re-build civilization after a devastating nuclear conflict. Something goes wrong, and instead of being unfrozen from cryogenic sleep a few years after the war, centuries have passed. But your mandate remains in force; so with limited arms and ammunition, you venture forth... One of the most complex and difficult combat systems ever devised.
Really liked reading James Janos (Jesse "the body" Ventura) story of his time as a SEAL.
A detailed and comprehensive look at the history of the Navy SEALS. Full of photos and first-person accounts from actual Team members, the book covers the Teams' history from their roots in the Underwater Demolition Teams of WWII through to their coming of age in Vietnam and beyond. The first-person accounts get a little repetitive after a while, although each does move the narrative forward. At 800 pages +, it's definitely good value.

The last quarter of the book details a catastrophic rescue attempt using the submarine pictured on the cover. The SEAL died in an accident during the operation - not in-county as the subtitle states.
It does bring up the moral dilemma American prisoners of war face under the U.S. Code of Conduct - duty to escape vs. duty to prevent suffering of fellow prisoners.… (més)
