The Centenary of Bidrohi & The Waste Land

Saudha Society of Poetry and Indian Music, a topnotch promoter of Indian classical and global music (www.saudha.org), celebrates the centenary of T S Eliot’s The Waste Land and Kazi Nazrul Islam’s (a leading Bengali poet) Bidrohi (The rebel), the two epitomic masterpieces of 20th century.
Directed by poet T M Ahmed Kaysher, this production combines acting, live music, theatrical reciting of the poems featuring leading elocutionists, musicians and academics in the UK that include poet John Farndon, poet Becky Cherriman, poet Miles Salter, spoken-word artists Erik Schelander, Shree Ganguly, Ehsan Ahmad Raj, Mohammed Sadif, Kaniz Fatema Chowdhury, Milly Basu, Abhra Bhowmick and then Pablo Khaled on lighting and Pretom Shaha on music.
