What if Animals Were Balloons? de Elizabeth Fequiere

Cute children's story with illustrations that kids will love. Complete with a whimsical storyline, and with coloring pages inside as well to spark creativity and imagination.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
What if Animals Were Balloons? starts with animals in a zoo suddenly turning into balloons which I thought was a cute fantasy for children to read. However, when they went into space, it seemed like the author was trying to teach about the planets. There was too much fantasy interlaced with reality though for anything to be teachable.
The illustrations are beautiful with bright colors and are the high point of the book.
The ending of the book didn’t make much sense, and it’s not a happy ending. It’s more like a cliffhanger. There are several pages to color at the end, which is a plus. Unfortunately, even with the illustrations and coloring pages, I won’t be reading this to my grandsons.… (més)

Was not expecting it to be an education on the solar system. However, having said that, it is only some what informative to a very little extent.
It started out well and I was in the hope of it being an adorable and endearing book, but sadly I was disappointed as the story lacked any substance and for some reason the book felt unfinished.
Where it falls short in narrative it triumphs in the extremely cute and lovable illustrations.

This is an adorable story about four friends who become balloons. The graphics are adorable and the story line is fun. I would had liked to see the animals visit all of the planets though. It could be a great educational book that way
