This was the perfect combination of written instructions and video guide. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Perfect for the beginner.

Level 1 (Beginner) deals with basic information such as hand position and finger number and progresses through the treble and bass clefs to introduce the C, G, and D major scales, chords, inversions, and cadences.
Level 2 (Advanced Beginner) picks up there and adds more major scales (F, B flat, and E flat), then natural minor scales.
Level 3 (Intermediate) covers harmonic minor scales.
Level 4 (Advanced Intermediate) covers arpeggios and melodic minor scales.
Level 5 (Advanced) focuses on music theory. The multiple modes are introduced, as are diminished and augmented chords and arpeggios, chromatic scales, and advanced seventh chords.
This book lacks an index, but the table of contents lists every lesson. I would not favor using it with piano students, but it could be a helpful reference.… (més)
