E. X. Ferrars, aka Morna Brown and Elizabeth Ferrars, was born in Rangoon, Burma on September 6, 1907. She received a diploma in journalism from University College in London. She wrote over sixty novels of mystery and suspense including Seeing Is Believing, A Hobby of Murder, Thy Brother Death, mostra'n més Answer Came There None, and Beware of the Dog. With Murder in Mind de Elizabeth Ferrars
A somewhat different kind of murder mystery, in that we see and hear the events unfold as a woman tells them to a psychoanalyst, over the course of ten sessions. The mystery involves the death of a tyrannical old patriarch, and the possible involvement of one or more of his children in the deed, all of whom have a variety of motives and flaws. The denouement of the book is a bit surprising, but logical. Overall, of a fair bit of interest as a change of pace.
