Nate Gangelhoff

I was instantly attracted to this zine after the first story; junior high has so many stories about our stupidity, but Nate's viewpoints and story telling had me laughing out loud (something I rarely do). It is one of the most entertaining zines I've read in a long time. Contains non-chronological stories from a restless teenage boy locked in suburbia, his wacky friends' deteriorating lives, and their adventures ranging from their first "band", shoplifting, corrupting the neighborhood Christian boy, to consuming anything to get fucked up. My only complaints about the zine are that the stories bounce around a little, from teenage-hood to more current stories and back, also I feel like some of the stories are left without a conclusion and I want more because I enjoyed it so much. It's nice to read a funny zine where all the stories didn't start with, "Man, I got so drunk and this is what my friends told me happened" even though a few did. I can't wait to read it again. The stories are pointless, because what about being in jr high had a point or a moral, so I do not recommend this zine for responsible people. (Webly)
