I really enjoyed this book! The book starts with Palta who works at a scientific facility and she has a huge crush on Aeron a co-worker. Palta and her family are from another planet. Their planet (Ontoni) is in the middle of a civil war and so Palta's parents and her sister fly to Earth to try and bargain with the people of Earth to let them live there. They soon realize that Earth is not the place for them.

Soon they realize someone has come from their planet to track down Aeron and his sister. You get background information about Palta and her family then things start to happen. M.A. does a great job with character building and action. She makes everything very realistic. Can't wait to read the next book.… (més)

This book starts where the first leaves off, on the trip to Palta's family's home world of Ononti. They are headed to Ononti to try and defeat Bito Obo who is using mind control to control the people so they will serve him and overthrow Aeron and his rule. We meet a few new characters and discover new powers that people have. There is some fighting, some tender moments and the story keeps flowing setting up for the next book.

This is a great ending to the Proximity trilogy. Palta is now married to Aeron and they are still trying to defeat Bito Ono, her father’s brother who is also a horrible man who is trying to take over the ruling of Onontian from Aeron who is the rightful leader. Bito Ono uses mind control and has someone stealing other people’s powers. Palta can sense if someone is around, can talk to someone with her mind and can control another person’s mind by putting a thought in their mind making them think it is a reality. M.A. George does a great job of wrapping up the story. There are great characters in this trilogy like Nangi who is super old and has all kinds of powers, some of his own and some he has taken from people. He and Palta have a unique relationship. There is action, space travel, family situations and a little bit of romance. I wish I could have spent more time with some of the other characters as this one is mainly Palta and Nangi. This is a really good YA sci-fi book.… (més)

I really enjoyed this book. M.A. George does a great job of drawing in the reader immediately into the story and the lives of the characters. Layla is a 17-year-old who lives with her Mom and Aunt Cora. Each year around Layla's birthday, they move. They always move somewhere close to water. They have just moved to Texas and while at the beach, Layla meets Tristan and Pyke. Weird things start to happen like Pyke under water for a long time and then showing up dry. Or the fact he liquefies before he hits the water.

Layla soon finds out her life and family is not what she thought it was. She is not even actually "human." George does a great job of creating a world where people live in the ocean and they can easily transition into water. They can also manipulate water and can make themselves dry quickly.

I had a hard time putting this book down. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. I wanted to put my tablet next to my computer at work so I could read it while I was working. This is well worth the time. Very enjoyable.
