Sobre l'autor
Malcolm Graham was born and raised in Brighton, the son of Northern parents who settled there after a chance meeting in a wartime canteen. This family history helps to explain why he is a proud Freeman of Newcastle upon Tyne. History became a childhood obsession, and he went on to do a B.A. in mostra'n més History at Nottingham University and an M.A. in English Local History at Leicester. Armed also with a qualification in librarianship, he became Oxford City's first full-time local history librarian in 1970. He has been hugely active in Oxford and Oxfordshire local history ever since, as an author and lecturer and as the driving force behind the development of what became the Centre for Oxfordshire Studies. He completed a Ph D at Leicester University on the growth of Oxford's Victorian suburbs in 1985, and was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London in 1999. mostra'n menys
