This is a lovely inclusive book for young children. It features many nature oriented mindfulness exercises and a little bit of science. The book is clearly aimed towards young children (preschool to kindergarten age), and the included activities are great for that age group. Older kids can benefit from the information as well, but it is written for a younger audience. I like that the book shares the science behind why the particular aspects of nature are good for your mental health along with the activity suggestions. Many of the activities are quite simplistic, but they serve as a nice guide (and provide incentive) to interact with nature in a way that benefits mental health.… (més)

Excellent tour of the senses in the wide world outside with all kinds of activities to share and provide fun learning.
She had me at "sniff like a schnauzer".
Some of the kids are in wheelchairs.
The illustrations by Anneli Bray are simply delightful, imaginative, and colorful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your public library!
