Enter the realm of Sri Raji, domain of the Darklord Arijani. 'Web of Illusion' was for character levels 7-9 and draws heavily upon, uh, romantic ideas of India. The world is tropical and deadly, and the people are governed by fear. There is political instability as well, with a faction of lycanthropes ready to challenge the Darklord and not above manipulating PCs to do it for them.
Burdened as the setting is with various dated elements, this would be a hard one to adapt, but I did like Arijani's lair. It was nested temples and corridors layered with illusions - fitting for a rakshasha - and can easily be a set-piece dungeon after a makeover. Adventurers will never be certain what is real, which will lead to many horror, insanity and powers checks. What more could a DM ask for?… (més)
