Patricia Haddock

San Francisco is a wonderful book about the history of this beautiful city and it's people. The book is about how San Francisco grew during the gold rush and after the earthquake that almost killed the city. The story is one in a series of books about life in different cities after some kind of destruction.
I really enjoyed this book. The pictures make each part of this story come to life. The reality of what happens when disaster strikes is amazing.
I would use this book to help teach about the history of San Francisco. I would also use this book to introduce some geology, such as plate tectonics.… (més)
