Delilah Dawson, Kevin Hearne, Mark Henry, Nicole Peeler, and Jaye Wells will sign and discuss the anthology CarniePunk (Gallery Books; $16.00). They will be joined by special guest moderator Liliana Hart!
We'll start giving out numbers for this event on July 23 with a purchase of Carniepunk.
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Liliana Hart has published more than 20 books, including the popular MacKenzie Family series. After starting her first novel her freshman year of college, she immediately became addicted to writing and knew she'd found what she was meant to do with her life. She has no idea why she majored in music.
Liliana is an avid reader and a believer in all things romance. Her books are filled with witty dialogue, dead bodies, steamy sex (not with the dead bodies), and the all-important happily-ever-afters her romantic soul craves. She lives in Texas with her husband and four children, and they occasionally let her meet her deadlines.
Kevin Hearne is a middle-aged nerd who still enjoys his comic books and old-school heavy metal. He cooks tasty omelets, hugs trees, and paints miniature army dudes. He lives with his wife, daughter, and doggies in a wee cottage.
Mark Henry traded a career as a counselor to scar minds with his fiction. In stories clogged with sentient zombies, impotent sex demons, transsexual werewolves and ghostly goth girls, he irreverently processes traumatic issues brought on by premature exposure to horror movies, an unwholesome fetish for polyester and/or witnessing adult cocktail parties in the swingin' 70s. A developmental history further muddied by surviving earthquakes, typhoons, and two volcanic eruptions. He somehow continues to live and breathe in the oft maligned, yet not nearly as soggy as you’d think, Pacific Northwest, with his wife and four furry monsters that think they’re children and have a complete disregard for carpet. (He also writes YA horror/fantasy under the name Daniel Marks)
Nicole D. Peeler received an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Boston University, and a PhD in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland. She’s lived abroad in both Spain and the UK, and lived all over the USA. Currently, she resides outside Pittsburgh, to teach in Seton Hill’s MFA in Popular Fiction. When she’s not in the classroom infecting young minds with her madness, she’s writing Urban Fantasy for Orbit Books and taking pleasure in what means most to her: family, friends, food, and travel.
Jaye Wells: After several years as a magazine editor and freelance writer, Jaye Wells finally decided to leave the facts behind and make up her own reality. Her overactive imagination and life-long fascination with the arcane and freakish blended nicely with this new career path. Her Sabina Kane urban fantasy series is a blend of dark themes, grave stakes and wicked humor. Jaye lives in Texas with her saintly husband and devilish son.
Other books from all participating authors are listed below in alphabetical order by author's last name. They'll be more than happy to sign older titles at the event!
