Peggy Price Heiney

I received this book as a gift from my grandma, and that may be why I like it so much. My grandma is actually good friends with the author of this book so she got a copy of the book for me. It is a really cute story about a teddy bear that was left behind at a cottage in Michigan. The teddy bear gets lonely and decides to go on an adventure in a canoe in I believe it was Lake Michigan. He ended up getting into a little bit of trouble and was found on the beach by a little boy who recognized him as Elizabeth's bear. The boy helps him find his way back to the cottage. What I really enjoy about this story is that it takes place in Michigan, so I think this would be a great story to read to a class in Michigan. I think this could be used in the younger elementary grades such as kindergarten, first, and second grade. The illustrations in this book were very well done as well, in my opinion.… (més)
