I MUST ADMIT THAT I WAS STUMPED! Book five had me rapidly reading while trying to help Cassie and laughing at what she put Daniel through. Cassie was finally getting the dream house of her youth and she was angry that Daniel did not take an active role in the decor. Her nosiness at the funeral home has her finding a body and she has Daniel pretending to be a fighter as she interrogates the promoter forgetting her promise to Brent and getting Daniel a fat lip! I ENJOYED BOOK FIVE AND CASSIE!!
Fishers of Menace is book one of the Faith and Foils Series where I met Cassie Bridgestone trying her best to solve a murder and Zach was a long time friend of hers. Cassie dabbled in solving mysteries as she thinks that she is just as good or maybe better than the idiot who's in charge, besides she had grown up in the small town where everyone knew you and never locked doors. Years earlier, Cassie had to deal with her fiancé's cheating on her which forced her to leave the big city and take over her gram's shop. I had read the end of the series first, but I tried to help her capture the culprit as it was very rare for a crime such as this occur in Banford.… (més)

I have never heard of this author before, and I did enjoy Apple of My Die as I was introduced to Cassie Bridgestone, an ammeter sleuth as she loves to crack mysteries. This time she finds a dead body in Banford Orchard while she competed with her two friends to get through the corn maze first and have them buy dinner for her and her friend, Daniel. It appears that Cassie had solved more crimes than the police, and that did not set well with the head huncho for showing him up that he charged the wrong man! I liked how Ms. Heuvel did not distract for her story and that she kept the book clean so that children will enjoy!!… (més)
