Elin Hilderbrand grew up in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University and the graduate fiction workshop at the University of Iowa. Her first book, The Beach Club, was published in 2000. Her other works include The Blue Bistro, Barefoot, A Summer Affair, The Castways, mostra'n més The Island, Summerland, The Matchmaker, Winter Street, The Rumor, and Winter Stroll. Read 3.2024 and left in Opatija Croatia
Not the best book of this series by far. This is #2. I've read them all now except for #3 (all out of order but it didn't matter). It's easy to remember everyone most of the time after reading a few pages/chapters.
This one seemed like a soap opera for some reason. Still good but not the best.
The characters and the setting are the same but the plot is different obviously.
Will I read #3? Maybe; but I won't be going out of my way to find a used copy unless it pops up somewhere without buying it. I did read a preview of it at the back of the book though.… (més)

this an Elin Hilderbrand book made for reading at the beach. It is very light reading very predictable, and everyone is happy at the end. Which if you are a wealthy author living in Nantucket, you would probably write books like this too.
I do like this authors books but this one really is pretty basic.

Her younger sister, a professor who has been fired.
Vickie’s best friend who has a cheating husband and she is pregnant.
What will cure their ills. A summer is Nantucket of course. Oh and the local hot 22 year old male babysitter.
I love her books.
