Eh, I don't think this will be a compelling enough read for me, due to the rating and the concept. Still, I'll try to read it.
Update: 6/10, I saw this book a while back in my library and I wanted to read it and then I did and I didn't know what to expect from this book at first considering I've never seen a concept as unique as this however the execution is ok at best and underwhelming at worst and I've seen better books than that so where do I even begin? It starts with the main character Amy trying to live her life as normally as she can since she has had a different childhood from other people ever since her mother left her and her sister, but I don't know why, it was just mentioned so there's that. Only a few pages into the book it starts to get a little strange when she discovers a boxed baby at a bus stop, hence the title and that sets it up for future events. Amy then decides to find out who the baby belongs to and it doesn't even have a name yet meanwhile most of the book just rambles along with details about Amy's life thus far and it quickly gets repetitive and it doesn't help that she wasn't the most likable character either but at least she experienced character development at the end. Toward the latter half of the book, Amy finally discovers who the mother was and it was some quite terrible circumstances, she had to let it go and now Amy sends the baby to the hospital for a family to adopt it ending this on a high note.… (més)
