A grown-up [b:Tomorrow, When the War Began|71865|Tomorrow, When the War Began (Tomorrow, #1)|John Marsden|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1388214812s/71865.jpg|1253352].

"A dazzling sweep through the 50's and 60's and the elusive world of literary fame. From an Antipodean childhood Jack grows up realising books are knowledge andknowledge is power. His quest takes him to university (Ginsberg and the Beats) and follows in Kerouac footsteps and finally to the literary mecca of London the ending though is a disappointment.

The book held my interest: even though it is an alternate history of WWII where the Japanese invade Aussie, I hardly noticed that the characters don't encounter Japanese soldiers until 200+ pages into the book. Well written and recommended.… (més)
