A novel that takes place in the 1830’s and revolves around a young girl and the Shakers at Hancock. To tell you the truth, I did not think that I was going to enjoy this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. As I read I began to take an interest in the events and challenges that befall on 13 year-old Lucy Hammond and those around her. She is an interesting character and one worth watching…I wonder if there will be a sequel to this book!
