This book contains 24 weekly columns that Anthony Godby Johnson wrote for the Gregory House Gazette, the newsletter for Ho'omana'olana, Hawaii AIDS Housing Programs in 1993 and 1994. Anthony Godby Johnson was reportedly the author of A Rock and a Hard Place, a memoir about a fourteen year-old New York City boy dying of aids; however his very existence was questioned in the national media. About a year after the publication of the book, Irvin Sasaki, a retired teacher and principal in Hawaii began corresponding with Johnson, defended him against the national media, and invited Johnson to write the column. Johnson's weekly column is printed in this book as a fund-raiser for Ho'omana'olana to support its Hiv/Aids programs. Maya Angelou believed in the author's existence; she wrote the Forward.… (més)
